Feyenoord

Football is a sport I don't care about, I don't watch it. But football is huge in The Netherlands. Most of the time you are a fan of the football club of the town you were born in. I was born in Amsterdam so I have to be a fan of Ajax. My cousin, born in Amsterdam too is a fan of the football club of Rotterdam, Feyenoord. It's a shame, haha.

Last weekend Feyenoord became National Champion after 18 years. My cousin and his little son were over the moon. Nice scrapping material!

't Woold

After some rainy weeks today is the only day this week it will be dry and sunny. Time for a long walk. We chose a trail of 12 km in "t Woold near Winterswijk. We had lunch at the Watermill "Berenschot" It was lovely!

Peacock

Just playing with camera raw and filters in photoshop. Scrapped the result using the kit Teal for two by Kristmess. Used a mask called Spring by Madelief.

Hiking

We had to wait for a long time. Spring was cool and wet and summer started of wet too. But finally it is here: warm and sunny weather!
Yesterday we went foor a 12 km walk through the woods of "De Slangenburg" Of course we took our cameras with us. This scrap says it all, we had a lovely time!

Black Friday, time to buy scrapstuff you never would buy when it wasn't on a discount. I love the stuff of Anna Aspnes but I think it is way to expensive.
Bought the Artplay palette Friends yesterday. This is what I made with it.

New car!

Last May my husband and I bought a new car. The car we wanted, Mazda 3-GTM in the color red wasn't available anywhere, so it has to come all the way from Japan. Finally after three months we could get the car! Isn't it a beauty!

VAMAC Hoteltrip

Every year with Ascensionday we go for four days on a hoteltrip with the VAMAC motorclub. Destination this year was Lippoldshausen, a little village in the "Weserbergland" in Germany. It is very hilly overthere and that is just wat bikers like! Our group consisted of 19 bikes and 21 people.

Only on the Saturday we a had a little bit of rain. The other days we had perfect weather. Warm enough for sitting on a terrace and not to warm for driving.
We had a lovely time!

This year was the 24th time so next year we have a jubilee. All have to think about what we can do to make that trip more special. Any ideas, anybody?

Puzzle

I did another workshop, I made a puzzle of a photograph. Placed the puzzle picture on a photograph of a table.
Looks very realistic doesn't it? I learn a lot about photoshop techniques and it is also fun!

Computercrash

Last Thursday my computer crashed! I got a blue screen and whatever I tried, it didn't come to life. My computer was rather new, from November last year so I still got warrenty. Hopefully I get him back next Tuesday. Luckily I have an old computer, not as fast and it misses all of my scrapstuff but it works! I decided to try some workshops I saw in Photoshop magazine and here is the result of one. In the magazine it looks more beautiful so I think I must have done something wrong, but as you don't know what it has to look like....

Snow

When I woke up this morning and looked outside I saw it was snowing again! I stopped counting but it must be the tenth time. Oh how I hate this. It is not that I hate snow, but I hate the fact that is snows, it last one or two days before it is gone and after a few days it starts snowing again. They say it is springtime, I see the daffodils carefully peek above the grass, but it is so cold! I want sunny days, I want to wear skirts, I want to sit on a terrace......

My Teddybears

Last week I bought this paintingsoftware Artrage! This is such fun. I absolutely can't draw or paint, but with this software anyone can! Just download a picture or one of your own photo's and paint it over!
I give you a warning, this is so addictive! I made this cute little bear and I made a page around it.

I love teddybears, here I am with my first bear, it is a present for my first birthday! Unfortunately I don't have him anymore. At the back you see Tommy, my latest bear. He sits on my desk at work, always by my side. The little bear in the middle, I made it myself, isn't he cute?

Institute for Sound and Vision

Yesterday we visited the Institute for Sound and Vision in Hilversum.

The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision (‘Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid’) is a cultural-historical organization of national interest. It collects, preserves and opens the audiovisual heritage for as many users as possible.
Sound and Vision (‘Beeld en Geluid’) has one of the largest audiovisual archives in Europe. The institute manages over 70 percent of the Dutch audiovisual heritage. The collection contains more than 750.000 hours of television, radio, music and film from the beginning in 1898 until today.

The Experience shows the wonderful world of television. Temporary exhibitions also take place here. Visitors can read the news, be a real star on stage or act in a soap opera. Dutch radio and television personalities virtually show the visitors around in the world of radio and TV. They get a glimpse behind the scenes and learn about life in the spotlights. While the kids are singing, dancing, producing or acting, parents and grandparents can sit down in an easy chair and enjoy the video and audio material from the thirties until now.

United States Capitol

My scrapfriend, Scrappie Irene, wrote a tutorial a while ago for Oscraps to transform a photo partly in a sketch and partly in a watercolor painting. Not every photo is suitable, you have to try with different photo's to see what effect it gives.
Today I tried this tutorial with a photo I made of the United States Capitol.

Bryant park

In New York we visited ofcourse Central Park, the most famous park of Manhattan. But there is another park, not as big as Central Park, but so wonderful and peaceful. There is also an ice skatingrink and I don't know if it is always there, all kind of little shops where you could buy all kind of art objects, culinary treats, Christmas decorations, etc.
We visited this park in the evening and it was so much fun!

NYC

As the most of you know we went to New York and Washington last November. The occasion was the wedding of my cousin, but why fly to the USA only for a wedding. We spent four days in New York and four days in Washington and it was awesome!
We have loads of pictures and I'm busy making scraps for my book.
Once in a while I will show you a page of my book to be.

I used many different kits for this scrap by Nini's notions, Danimoy, Kathryn Estry and others I don't know anymore.

Warm winter light

In Braamt there is this event called "Warm winter light" A walk around a lake decorated with all kind of figures made of lights and fire. This event started last year a few days before Christmas. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain so we decided to wait for better weather. Finally yesterday was a dry day. After work Jaap and I went to town for a lovely diner and visited afterwards Warm winter light. It was fun!
